OAPP GRANT

Dear Friends,

The Dibble Institute is pleased to offer you application assistance as you write your OAPP grants!  This is a multi-site grant that requires 7 – 10 primary abstinence education sites, plus 7 – 10 abstinence education sites, PLUS an enriched program that includes one of these three areas: 1) Parental/Family Involvement, 2) Mentoring,  3) Community Service.

The Dibble Institute’s best practices youth relationship and marriage education curricula are a great match to satisfy these grant requirements and will strongly enhance your efforts to promote abstinence education for youth. Our asset-building materials, Connections, Love U2®, and The Art of Loving Well, provide:  

1.      Natural fits for the primary education and motivational programs required in the grant:

• Increase the involvement of parents in the lives of their children
• Increase teens understanding of the positive health and emotional benefits of abstaining from pre-marital sexual activity

2.      A strong parent-teen component for the required enriched program model

• Integrated activities that foster parental involvement
• Improve parent-teen communication

3.  Education on the responsibilities of sexuality and parenting
