Jeff Carroll is a leading voice of Hip Hop reform. He is a married father and lifetime Hip Hopper. He started as a DJ at the age of 12 in 1979. He then progressed from doing the music at friend’s house parties to coordinating them. In high school, Jeff had become a promoter and coordinated rap battles and DJ contests. He continued to promote parties throughout his college years and when he graduated in 1989, he started an agency and represented comedians and other talent.

In 2004, Jeff wrote and produced the film Golddigger Killer, which addresses the misogyny and trend of players and golddiggers. In 2005, Golddigger Killer (GDK) won Best Feature at the
International Hip Hop Film Festival. It was released for home video in the summer of 2007. Golddigger Killer has been covered in national Hip Hop magazines, newspapers and talked about on Hip Hop radio shows. Jeff is the creator of the Hip Hop Dating Codes, which have been endorsed by KRS-ONE of the Temple of Hip Hop.

Jeff Carroll is Hip Hop’s first dating coach. He is currently a blogger for Real Health magazine. From his writings to film
work to books, Jeff addresses sexual assault, STDs, safe sex and misogyny. He is now a leading voice of Hip Hop reform and
dating as a precursor to marriage. Jeff Carroll has written articles for Swerv magazine, America’s leader in Black LGBT health
issues, as well as college magazines, Hip Hop newspapers and magazines nationwide. He has presented his workshop Stop the
Game at colleges and universities across the country, including Johnson and Wales University, James Madison University, Florida Atlantic University, Clayton State College and his alma mater, Kean University. He has been a guest on NBC 6 Miami and top radio shows like New York’s Hot 97, Radio One in Miami, Air America with respected Hip Hop intellectual pioneering rapper Chuck D, and Hip Hop’s highest rated morning show the Star and Bucwild morning show discussing his dating codes. As a Hip Hop activist since his high school years, Jeff has worked with many respected civil rights advocates, including Rev.
Jesse Jackson and Rev. Al Sharpton. He has worked with national and international organizations like The National Association
for the Advancement of Colored People, The National Hip Hop Political Convention, The African Heritage Studies Association and
the Urban League. He has been on panels dealing with Hip Hop’s positive agendas at a variety of events which include: The Atlanta Hip Hop Film Festival, The How Can I Be Down music conference, The Rainbow/Push National Convention, The International Hip Hop Odyssey Film Festival, The Imagenation Film Festival and The Miami City Youth Summit.

Jeff has gained firsthand experience as an agent for comedians and other entertainers since 1990. He has worked on television
and cable shows as a talent consultant and production assistant, including Showtime at the Apollo, BET Comic View, Def Comedy Jam, Def Poets, Puffy’s Bad Boys of Comedy, Comedy Central’s Comic Groove, VH1’s Hard Rock Live, The Ricky Lake Show and Politically Incorrect.

Jeff Carroll lives in South Florida with his wife and son. In addition to being a writer and a filmmaker, he is also owner of Red, Black and Green Promotions, a college entertainment company, where he works as an entertainment agent. He has booked
performances from Maine to Texas to Alaska. He has been speaking to college and high school students through panels, lectures and his own workshop on Hip Hop dating.

Jeff has a Bachelor’s of Art in Management Science from Kean University and a collateral in African Studies. He has travelled to Egypt, Japan, the Caribbean and Ghana to research African Culture.
