Why Buy the Cow? is an easy to teach, 60–90 minute PowerPoint lesson about living together. In an engaging, teen-friendly way, it explores both the common assumptions about cohabitation—and what research reveals about these ideas. Students discover some surprising potential consequences—both for couples and for their children. This lesson is based on the report “Should We Live Together?” from the National Marriage Project at Rutgers University.
