This innovative relationship course helps teens become wiser and more effective
in their dating relationships.
The program covers a full range of topics about dating and building connections
not based on sex. Subjects include attraction, infatuation, rejection, falling
in love, emotions, and breaking up.
Relationship Smarts also introduces specific dating skills: what to say and
do in the early stages, how to get to know someone, how to build and assess
a relationship, and avoid attachment to problem people.
Lessons feature a variety of activities based on the latest research and best
practices. Stories from the anthology, The Art of Loving Well, as well as episodes
from the teen TV series, My So-Called Life, help bring these topics alive.
Relationship Smarts is designed for schools, after-school programs, youth agencies,
clubs, group homes, faith based organizations, and other applications.
